He has a strong passion for food and high cuisine, which led him to perfect his craft in the kitchens of great masters in Paris and London. It is in Italy, however, where he completed his formative journey under the guidance of Massimiliano Alajmo. The desire to express himself in new entrepreneurial and gastronomic challenges has brought him to open more restaurants in Italy and overseas, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Hong Kong. His work as brand ambassador of EXPO 2015 and various culinary organizations has further elevated Italian cuisine among the best of the best in the world.
Tohru Nakamura is a multi-award-winning head chef and book author from Germany with Japanese roots. His restaurant "Tohru" was immediately awarded two Michelin stars after only three months of opening. The 39-year-old runs the restaurant "Schreiberei" with his business partners as managing partner with two restaurant concepts (fine dining and fun dining) on three levels under one roof in Munich's historic centre. His culinary style combines French techniques with Japanese precision, along with Italian or Spanish flair in fascinating harmony. He is a purist and aroma virtuoso, and follows the philosophy of Kaiseki cuisine, which depends on the freshest ingredients in season. On the whole, Nakamura experiments a lot in how he cuts and serve the products but his core cooking philosophy of truly appreciating the product is in focus in every dish he makes.

Famously known as “The Demon Chef”, Alvin Leung invented his own cuisine called “X-treme Chinese”. He does to Chinese food what Picasso did to art – break down Chinese food to its bare essence and use it to create new interpretations in modern form. Leung has modernized Chinese cuisine and single-handedly created new taste sensations which gives a unique experience every time they visit his restaurants. He currently holds two Michelin stars for his groundbreaking Bo Innovation restaurant in Hong Kong, and one Michelin star for Bo London. He recently opened Bo Shanghai and an R&D in Toronto. Leung is also a regular judge at Masterchef Canada since its debut in 2014. Despite his rock n’ roll image, Leung’s professional training as an engineer manifests in everything that he presents. He puts together dishes with engineering precision, substituting ingredients and methods of cooking until perfection is achieved.
